Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting, ensuring prompt assessment, treatment, and stabilization of diverse patient populations. Collaborate with physicians, physicians assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity level.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions following clinical protocols.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for submission compliance.
• Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS, NIHSS, TNCC are preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
• Ability to interpret EKG strips and read cardiac rhythms.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
