Vice President Client Development

We are an expanding, dynamic, and energetic business looking for driven, creative and collaborative individuals to join our sales team as VP of Client Development. You will be responsible for creating relationships with new clients through a combination of your own prospecting efforts, leveraging your existing network, and pursuing leads provided by us. You will also provide valuable guidance throughout every engagement that you sell. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about research design, execution, presentation and the activation of research findings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create relationships with new clients through a combination of your own prospecting efforts, leveraging your existing network, and pursuing leads provided by the company Generate revenue and profit through your business development efforts to reach specific goals Demonstrate knowledge about different types of research Learn about our range of approaches and solutions to properly guide conversations with clients and ensure successful outcomes. Write proposals that clearly convey the value we provide to our clients (assistance and reference materials will be provided for this) Provide oversight, input, and guidance throughout any research engagement you sell. This includes directing the research team and providing your input/approval at key milestones. Be willing to partner with others on the sales team as necessary and to contribute knowledge and expertise to the team Build a research team with you as you grow your business – hiring new researchers, guiding their development, etc. Skills and Requirements: Ability to generate new business on your own Ability to nurture and grow profitable client relationships Ideally have generated at least $1 million+ in revenue per year in your recent role(s).
