Job Title: Level 3 RN ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Single State or Compact nursing license Certifications: - AHA BLS - AHA ACLS - AHA PALS - NIHSS Stroke Certification Must-Have: - Pediatric experience Description: This position involves providing care in a Level 3 ICU setting. The acuity level of patients includes adults and pediatrics who are acutely ill with a variety of medical problems and diseases. The staffing ratio is 2:1 in the ICU and 3:1 in the SDU. An automated medication dispensing system is used. Electronic medical records are maintained using Cerner. All RNs and LPNs are required to hold NIHSS certification. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be valid and from AHA. Pediatric experience is mandatory. Masks must be worn at all times in the ICU. Scrub color is navy blue.
