Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Med-Surg

Location: Travelers Rest, SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a combined ICU and Med-Surg assignment. This position requires a flexible nurse who is comfortable caring for critically ill and medical-surgical patients and willing to float as needed within the health system.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 x 12-Hour Shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required (subject to unit needs)
• Floating Required based on census and staffing needs

Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• First-time travelers considered based on specialty experience

Clinical Experience Required

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Ventilator Weaning
• Tracheostomy Care
• PEG Tube Management
• Wound Care
• Spinal Cord Injury Patient Care
• Adult Patient Population (18+ years)

Unit Information

• 12-Bed Intensive Care Unit
• 31-Bed Medical-Surgical Unit
• Staff are expected to work across both units based on patient care needs

Technology & Systems

• EPIC Electronic Medical Record (minimum 1 year experience required)
• Omnicell Medication Management System

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU and Med-Surg patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
• Manage ventilated patients during the weaning process.
• Provide tracheostomy and PEG tube care.
• Perform wound assessments and treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
