This position focuses on general maintenance and repair of Class 8 tractors, dump trucks, and a variety of trailers , including dump (pup) trailers, roll-off trailers, and chassis. We are looking for a self-starter who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and wants to be part of a team that keeps a large fleet safe, reliable, and running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs on Class 8 tractors and dump trucks Service and repair dump (pup) trailers, roll-off trailers, chassis and various other trailers Brake inspections, repairs, and adjustments Wheel seals, hubs, and bearing service Greasing and lubrication of fleet equipment Preventative maintenance (PMs) and inspections Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using multiple means including brand specific computer programming Perform DOT-related repairs and safety items Maintain clean, organized work area and accurate service records Qualifications & Requirements Experience working on Class 8 trucks and trailers preferred Valid Driver's License with Class A or B CDL preferred Must have a professional rolling tool box and hand tools Knowledge of brakes, wheel seals, hubs, suspension, and general mechanical systems Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong work ethic and attention to detail Welding and fabrication experience Ability to physically lift up to 100lbs Ability to physically be able to climb a ladder Ability to physically open a manual tarp system using upper body strength.
