Mobile Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician

What You’ll Do Diagnose and repair Class 6–8 trucks and commercial equipment at customer locations. Perform PM services, inspections, and fleet maintenance. Diagnose electrical, CAN network, charging, starting, and multiplexed systems. Repair engines, cooling systems, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, fuel, driveline, and emissions systems. Complete professional digital repair documentation. Communicate directly with commercial fleet customers. Represent OutBrake Garage with professionalism and integrity. What We’re Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has several years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience. Can diagnose problems—not just replace parts. Is comfortable working independently. Takes pride in quality workmanship. Communicates professionally. Maintains a professional tool inventory. Experience with Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, International, Volvo, Mack, Caterpillar, or similar platforms is highly preferred. ASE certifications are appreciated, but proven diagnostic ability matters more. Compensation & Growth Our technicians are compensated using a flat-rate pay structure, with travel time paid separately, allowing you to earn for both your productivity and the time spent traveling between customer locations. Starting compensation is expected to range from $30–45+ per flat-rate hour, depending on: Experience Diagnostic ability Certifications Tool inventory Productivity Professionalism Ability to provide an equipped mobile service truck Exceptional candidates with advanced diagnostic skills or a fully equipped service truck may qualify for higher compensation.
