The Billing and Collections Specialist and Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the company’s financial records, invoicing, and collections while also providing support with scheduling, business paperwork, and personal assistance tasks. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, thoroughness, and reliability, with occasional local travel and close collaboration with the business owner. Candidates must be willing to relocate within 40 miles of the main office in Stockdale, TX, and have dependable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting bookwork and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring timely billing and collections
- Perform data entry and maintain document management systems
- Coordinate and track filing due dates for compliance and regulatory documents
- Support scheduling for client appointments, internal meetings, and personal tasks
- Assist with business paperwork and compliance tracking
- Provide personal assistance including help with children and light house maintenance
- Maintain organized filing and record-keeping systems
- Coordinate transportation logistics as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in billing and collections
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting
- Proficiency with invoicing software and accounts receivable processes
- Strong skills in data entry, scheduling, and document management
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to double-check work
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Well-developed organizational abilities
- Basic maintenance skills for light household support
- Reliable transportation and willingness to relocate within 40 miles of Stockdale, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed CPA is a plus
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
