Job Summary:
The Critical Access Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Chewelah, Washington. This role involves providing patient care on a unit that supports adults and geriatrics, with an emphasis on telemetry monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The RN will float between designated hospitals if census demands, and may be scheduled for day or night shifts on a rotating basis.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Variable shift hours, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 1 year of recent experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting; experience with accessing/managing ports, managing BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, high flow nasal cannula, arterial blood gases interpretation, dysrhythmia management, isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, pacemakers (temporary/permanent), peripheral line care, PICC line management, post-myocardial infarction care, seizure disorder management, starting/maintaining IVs, substance withdrawal management, total joint replacement, rapid response/team activation, wound care with wound vac, and ortho patient care and pin care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience; thromboembolic or trauma level I or II experience; LTAC experience; experience with surgical patients, ORIF, infections, cellulitis, BKA.
• Additional Information: RN will float between Providence St. Joseph's hospital and Providence Mt. Carmel hospital if census does not support need at St. Joseph's; manager schedules day/night rotation to ensure fairness and manageability for travelers. Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
