ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

MANUFACTURING-Schenectady, NY

Fusco Personnel is searching for an Assistant Production Manager to join a growing industrial manufacturer’s operations team.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated manufacturing professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership while preparing for advancement into a Production Manager role.

Working closely with experienced operations leadership, you'll gain hands-on experience in production planning, workforce management, quality systems, and manufacturing operations within a highly specialized fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
• Supervise production staff and support scheduling, workflow, and labor efficiency.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping to resolve production issues.
• Support employee training, continuous improvement, and OSHA compliance.
• Monitor production metrics, inventory, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience with leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO quality systems is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $85,000–$110,000, based on experience.
