Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Canton, GA. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other clinical tests. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program. 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Proof of exceptional customer service. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan. Employees who are scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all the foregoing benefits except paid time off or flexible time off. Work Schedule Part time, 25 hours weekly: Monday – Wednesday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm with a 30‑minute lunch break; Tuesday and Thursday 1:00pm – 6:00pm (no lunch break). Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. You will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
