Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Four 10-Hour Shifts)
Pay: $20-$21/hour Starting

BBSI is hiring on behalf of a local client for a  Restoration Technician .

We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable performing physically demanding restoration and mitigation work. This role focuses on water damage restoration, mold remediation, demolition, cleanup, and job site support. The ideal candidate is not afraid of dirty work, confined spaces, or working in crawlspaces and attics, and takes pride in helping restore homes and properties after damage occurs.

Position Summary

The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing water mitigation, demolition, cleanup, and restoration support services while maintaining a safe, organized, and professional job site. This position works closely with the Project Manager and restoration team to complete projects efficiently and according to company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Restoration & Mitigation Services

• Perform water extraction and removal of damaged materials
• Remove wet drywall, insulation, flooring, and other affected building materials
• Assist with mold, water, and sewage remediation projects
• Set up and monitor drying equipment, air movers, and dehumidifiers
• Perform demolition, cleanup, debris removal, and site preparation
• Work in crawlspaces, attics, and other confined areas as needed
• Follow project scopes and work assignments provided by the Project Manager
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism

Documentation & Reporting

• Record daily job notes and timecard information
• Take photographs documenting:
  • Damaged areas
  • Equipment setup and usage
  • Project progress
  • Before and after conditions
  • Safety or site concerns
• Maintain accurate digital records and project documentation

Equipment Management

• Operate, maintain, and store tools and restoration equipment safely
• Ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use
• Secure equipment during transportation
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly

Vehicle Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections
• Keep vehicles clean, stocked, and fueled
• Report maintenance concerns promptly

Safety

• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain awareness of job site hazards and environmental conditions
• Promote a safe work environment for coworkers and clients

Professionalism & Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally at all times
• Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with clients and the public
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Direct project-specific questions to the Project Manager

Qualifications

• Previous restoration, mitigation, demolition, construction labor, or general labor experience preferred
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in varying conditions
• Ability to work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Reliable transportation and attendance required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment throughout the workday
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
