This hands-on role focuses on supporting field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across a variety of electric distribution infrastructure projects.Join our team, and your career will be amplified by a culture of empathy, innovation, and life balance, recognized by employees as the top firm to work for in 2025 by Zweig Group!What You'll Do:Map and inventory existing overhead and underground distribution systems in the field, supporting the design and providing input on system rebuilds and upgradesIdentify system and safety issues in electrical systemsCoordinate preconstruction meetings between clients and construction contractorsPerform construction inspections and spot checks to ensure construction meets design and safety standardsPerform post-construction inspections supporting as-builts and ensuring safe and reliable electricity distribution for residential, commercial, and utility clientsCompletion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, monitoring, and chain-of-custody formsMaintain detailed records of work performed and maintain strong communication with the office staffWhat You Bring:High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience with electric overhead and underground distribution systemsStrong knowledge of electric distribution systems and equipment, including but not limited to: transformers, insulators, switches, conductor, elbows, and teesAbility to read and interpret electrical distribution job packagesCapable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environmentCapable of spending significant time in the car while driving to various job sitesMust be able to carry up to 50 lbs. without accommodationCommitment to safety protocols and regulatory complianceStrong communication skills, both written and verbalMust have and maintain a valid Driver's LicenseGroundman experience is a plus.Salary Range:$27-$40/hourBenefits:Flexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
