Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, short & long-term disability insurances available; medical premiums covered by Grayson College for FT employee only; vacation and sick leave accruals; personal leave; holidays; and tuition coverage for FT employees, their spouse & dependents.Responsibilities include performing general custodial duties of all buildings, such as emptying, sanitizing, and relining trash receptacles, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathroom and bathroom fixtures and refilling disposable items, vacuuming rooms with carpeting, stripping, scrubbing, sealing and buffing tile floors, and cleaning carpets. Performance measurements include demonstrating the Viking Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust; working independently to complete assigned tasks; practicing workplace safety; maintaining building security; and providing a high level of service to the campus community.Qualifications include up to six months of similar or related experience, two years of responsible experience in a similar custodial job preferred, no high school degree required, normal courtesy in dealing with others required, ability to operate cleaning equipment, ability to follow oral and written instructions in English, basic computer skills, and the ability to learn institutional software programs and systems. Moderate physical exertion is required including walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, stretching, and reaching. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
