From kites and surf gear to hang gliding and coastal lifestyle apparel, our mission is to create uplifting experiences and share the best of OBX culture with the world.The RoleYou will own the execution, optimization, and performance of our social media and paid efforts—working in close partnership with a dedicated Content Manager who produces all photo and video assets. This role is about turning content into results, through strong collaboration, planning, and performance-driven decision making.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Partnership & Planning (Core to the Role)Work hand-in-hand with the Content Manager dailyBuild and maintain a weekly content calendarHelp guide content needs based on performance insightsEnsure alignment between creative output and marketing goals.Content ExecutionEnsure consistent posting (minimum 10 posts/week across brands)Balance content across: retail, ecommerce, events, adventure/recreationOptimize captions, timing, and formatting for performance.Social Media ManagementManage day-to-day posting across: Facebook & Instagram (primary focus), Pinterest (secondary support for ecommerce), TikTok (limited/secondary involvement for now)Continuously test and improve engagement and reach.Paid Advertising (Meta Focus)Execute and manage ~$10,000/month in ad spendBuild, launch, and optimize campaigns on: Meta (Facebook & Instagram), support additional platforms as neededImprove ROAS, conversions, and campaign efficiency over time.Performance Tracking & ReportingTrack and report weekly on: post consistency and output, engagement rates, ROAS, ecommerce and recreation revenue impactProvide clear insights and recommendations to improve performance.Community EngagementRespond to comments and messages across platformsSupport turning social engagement into customer relationships and sales opportunities.What We're Looking ForExperience managing social media + paid Meta ads, strong understanding of how to optimize content for performance, data-driven mindset (comfortable owning KPIs like ROAS, engagement, etc.), highly organized and consistent executor, comfortable collaborating closely with a creative/content partner, ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously.Bonus PointsExperience with retail, ecommerce, or tourism brands, familiarity with Pinterest for ecommerce support, passion for beach lifestyle, outdoor adventure, or OBX culture.Why This Role is DifferentUnique partnership between content + marketing, blend of retail, ecommerce, and experiences, work across multiple established brands, live and work in the Outer Banks.Growth OpportunityThis role will begin execution-focused, with the opportunity to grow into owning strategy and expanding impact over time.How to Apply: Interested in joining our team?
