Systems Engineer Associate - Entry Level

Job Overview Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic Systems Engineer to join the Combined Orbital Operations Logistics & Resiliency (COOLR) team within the Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) program in Sunnyvale, California. The role focuses on supporting infrastructure, system installation, comprehensive team coordination and hardware configuration in the control areas. Responsibilities Provide hardware obsolescence tracking and support Support Adjusted Work Hours based on program needs Troubleshoot Windows systems Support user profile creation and maintain tools Support the Systems Engineering leadership team in planning and execution of work scope and program execution Lead, generate and coordinate schedules with stakeholders Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, system requirements, and work plans Support the planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility, and with the customer when needed Obsolescence tracking & support Travel to remote sites as needed/when requested Ensure engineering is coordinated across program and suppliers Support coordination of COOLR system issues from a SEOSS perspective Support technical meetings standardizing processes across programs Support ad hoc tasking by program technical leaders Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM related field, or relevant experience Secret security clearance Experience with IT help desk/admin tasks/troubleshooting (VDI, Flash Baseline, etc.) Familiar with Jira Desired Skills Active Security+ CE certification TS clearance VDI and virtualization Virtualization experience using VMware vSphere Installation experience with all levels of RedHat Experience with DevOps Ansible automation Group policy (GPO) Active Directory Hardware SCAP and STIG experience Experience using Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with data analysis, metrics collection, and reporting Experience leading teams or projects through processes and efforts Self-starter with strong investigative skills and ability to multitask Positive demeanor, accountable, responsible and able to work in a team-focused/dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships Ability to operate and collaborate in a dynamic environment with solid time-management and high organization Project management / project engineering experience Basic experience with troubleshooting computer systems and/or applications Python, VBA, Perl, FORTRAN 77, PowerShell Extensive troubleshooting experience Windows task scheduler Windows Active Directory Interpersonal skills for coordination across multiple disciplines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking and social skills, with ability to lead multifunctional teams and build consensus among peers Salary and Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) is $60,200 – $106,030. For metropolitan areas, the range is $69,200 – $119,830. This position is incentive plan eligible.
