Job Title

RN – Labor & Delivery (Acute)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 3–4 shifts per week on a 28-day schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDR unit, 2 triage bays, 2 ORs, and 2 PACU beds within an acute care Labor & Delivery setting
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio as required
• Follow assigned patients through the full continuum of care for scheduled C-sections, from pre-op through PACU sign-off
• Adhere to AWHONN Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing, including 1:1 ratios for patients dilated 6 cm or greater
• Perform fetal surveillance monitoring using the OBIX system and document care using Meditech (PCS and ORM modules)
• Administer medications via Pyxis and manage IV therapy using Solaris IV pumps

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations, including patients with diabetes or requiring Magnesium drip management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and OBIX fetal surveillance systems
• Experience with external cephalic versions or cerclage procedures
