Position Highlights Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) – General Neurology Hourly Pay Range: $57.76 - $80.86 Location: NCH Hospital, 800 W. Central Ave, Arlington Heights IL, 60005 Employment Type: Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30pm - 4:00pm Setting: Outpatient/Clinic Minimal weekends/on call rotation Job Description Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures, and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provides comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribes treatments under protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevents illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes a high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures. Qualifications License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required. Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required. Education: Completion of master’s level program in a specialty area. Certification: BLS/CPR certification required. Experience: Prior APN/PA experience in Neurology required.
