Certified Medicine Technician (CMT)

CMT (Certified Medicine Technician) FT/PT/PRN positions available Responsibilities: Medication Administration: Administering oral and topical medications as prescribed by a physician, under the guidance of a licensed nurse. Record Keeping: Accurately documentating all medications administered to residents, based on their specific charts. Pain Management: Notifying appropriate licensed staff when a resident reports pain. Other Tasks: Performing other duties as assigned by the agency. Policy Compliance: Ensuring all medication administration practices align with agency policies and procedures. Safety: Prioritizing the safety and well-being of residents when administering medications. Qualifications MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST FOR EMPLOYMENT Education: Completion of a 20-hour CMT training class Experience: At least one year of experience working in a care-giving setting. Lincesure: A valid CMT license from the MBON. CPR/BLS/First Aid: A current valid CPR/BLS/First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association (AHA). Open availability, able to work various shifts to include weekends Current CPR/First Aid certification Physical and 2 Step PPD Able to lift, position, and transfer patient Experience operating a Hoyer lift Compassionate, respectful, committed to excellency and a good attitude Reliable transportation.
