Responsibilities As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), your primary responsibility is helping residents in their restoration of wellness and independence. Work in coordination and under the direction of the Therapy team and managers. Assisting in evaluations and setting appropriate goals for residents. Continued support of goal achievement. Maintain contact/communication with other personnel involved in the resident’s care to promote coordinated and efficient care plans. Setting goals for mobility, function, and independence. The application of therapeutic techniques to help achieve goals. Ensure accurate documentation throughout your shift.
