HVAC Mechanic

ATI has a current need for a full-time HVAC Mechanic. ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic. Position required to maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment;
• Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems;
• Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures;
• Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.);
• Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities;
• Maintaining air and water treatment systems;
• Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks;
• Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams;
• Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a US citizen and must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance; Candidate must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment;
• Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license;
• EPA Universal certification;
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
  • Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC;
  • Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems; and
• Experience with CMMS is a plus but not required.

Pay Rate: $48.58 - $60.52/hourdepending on role, experience, and benefits selected

Location: Springfield, VA

Working Hours: Monday Friday (anticipate 40 hours per week). Operating hours on-site are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday; Shifts will consist of an 8-hour shift during those hours. On-call support will be required on an occasional basis.
