Role: Front Loader Operator

Job Summary:

The Front Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including front loaders, dozers, excavators, and tractors, to support production and shipping operations. This role ensures a continuous flow of materials by loading bulk trucks, moving raw materials, performing routine equipment inspections, and assisting with preventative maintenance while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and fluid level checks on heavy equipment before, during, and after operation
• Safely operate front loaders, dozers, excavators, tractors, and other heavy equipment
• Load bulk trucks and maintain a continuous supply of materials for production and shipping operations
• Harvest, stack, spread, smooth, and level soil or raw materials as needed
• Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors
• Perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance as required
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Assist with additional production and plant duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to safely perform lifting up to 70 lbs on a routine basis
• Comfortable with standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
• Ability to safely operate equipment in varying weather and yard conditions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and dependable work ethic
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
