Job Description

• The Payloads Organization within Client Commercial Aircraft is seeking Mid-Level or Senior Technical Designers (Interiors) for our Seats Integration Team (SIT) positions in Everett or Renton, WA.

• The SIT organization is responsible for the installation, integration, and certification of all passenger and attendant seats on Client commercial aircraft.

• The selected candidate will have a statement of work that spans the product lifecycle: supporting customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, integrating business needs, and supporting the product through the production and certification processes.

• As a member of the team, you will need to interface with other members of SIT project teams, production system, program/product teams, management, and other technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions.

• You will be able to combine the expertise and resources of the interiors organization to certify and deliver the best interiors products within the industry.

• SIT is seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

• Engineering product definition

• Direct engagement designing for aerospace suppliers or airlines

• Experience supporting the validation of compliance to regulatory requirements

• Design for manufacturing

• Software Exp. (ie. Visual Basic, Python, Java)

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads the development and maintenance of engineering product definition

• Oversees the development of design layouts and the modification of existing designs to satisfy customer and production requirements

• Develops engineering product definition based upon Company requirements and parameters

• Coordinates development of engineering product definition with internal/external parties to ensure compliance with applicable standards, requirements and design parameters as well as product functionality

• Integrates work statement, work scope and work transfer packages with internal and external customers to requirements

• Oversees, directs and integrates the completion of product definition across internal and external business partners and products to provide a functional end-product

• Investigates and resolves complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues

• Verifies accuracy of engineering data produced by others

Education / Experience:

• AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
