Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist

Full-time speech-language pathologist needed to provide patient-centered care across all ages in a collaborative healthcare team south of San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess referred patients to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations and patient/family goals.

Administer evidence-based speech-language interventions.

Complete thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress.

Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff about treatment plans and techniques.

Assist patients in achieving highest level of independence and functional communication.

Maintain efficient, high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

Assist with orientation and mentoring of new employees and volunteers as needed.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab professionals, and interdisciplinary team members.

Adhere to all hospital safety policies, regulatory standards, and professional practice guidelines.

Demonstrate knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current California Speech-Language Pathology License or temporary license with commitment to obtain permanent licensure within one year of hire.

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
