Speech Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Speech Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with the elderly to assess and treat speech and language disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing communication skills and improving the quality of life for your patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both medical terminology and patient care, with a focus on early intervention strategies. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine speech and language needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding speech and language development. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy. Requirements Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech and language. Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred. Familiarity with early intervention practices for children with communication disorders. Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate speech and language challenges effectively. Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
