Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a dedicated professional to organize and implement physical therapy programs aimed at facilitating rehabilitation. You will guide clients through specific tasks designed to restore, enhance, and reinforce their performance. Key Competencies

• Conduct diagnostic assessments to evaluate the severity of patients’ impairments and their potential for improvement.

• Develop a tailored care plan addressing identified impairments, setting both short-term and long-term measurable treatment goals.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, continuously monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatments as necessary.

• Maintain accurate, objective, and timely documentation of patient care, education provided to patients and families, and service units.

• Oversee and guide supportive staff in assigned tasks, ensuring their competence in performing these duties.

• Aim for optimal outcomes for each patient.

Position Duties

• Assess clients, create suitable treatment goals and methods, implement the physical therapy plan, and manage all related documentation.

• Design and fit adaptive devices, training clients on their use, including orthotics and prosthetics.

• Select appropriate physical agent modalities based on individual needs, physical capabilities, and diagnoses.

• Collaborate with other rehabilitation team members to determine the most effective therapeutic regimen tailored to each client’s needs.

• Teach clients the necessary skills and techniques for mobility activities, while assessing their progress, attitudes, and behaviors related to rehabilitation.

• Customize treatment programs to align with each client's unique requirements.

• Actively participate in client care discussions, staffing meetings, and related gatherings.

• Supervise supportive personnel in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.

• Conduct training sessions and assist in educating medical, nursing, and other staff on physical therapy techniques and objectives.

• Ensure that clients and their families receive exceptional service in a compassionate environment that respects individual needs and rights.

• Be flexible and adaptable to staffing needs within the therapy programs as required.

• Follow established policies, procedures, and objectives of the organization.

• Exemplify professionalism and uphold values that contribute to our mission.

• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapy Licensure in Massachusetts.

Physical Requirements

• Interact with patients in various circumstances, which may involve exposure to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds.

• Face varying and unpredictable situations.

• May encounter infections, contagious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens.

• Use gloves, gowns, and masks as necessary.

• Engage in prolonged standing or walking.

• Lift, position, transport, and transfer patients.

• Handle supplies and equipment.

• Perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Salary Range: $86,670.93 - $130,006.92
