Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Profession: PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Specialty: PTA - 210 type: PT (Physical Therapy) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 or 10 hour days, weekdays only Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required for submission Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Experience with orthopedics Description: Department: PTA Number of patients treated per day: 8 to 11. General certification requirements: Basic PTA & BLS/CPR. Common diagnoses/types of patients include orthopedic heavy, geriatric/balance, deconditioning, and balance issues. Care settings involve outpatient therapy. Flexible scheduling options are available. No weekend or holiday requirements. Department-specific orientation is provided. Experience with orthopedics is required. The charting system used is EPIC.
