About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, RCIS, RRT Must-Have: Experienced scrub Experienced to monitor Description: General information about the unit: There is one Cath/EP lab. The team consists of six staff members. Day shift includes five RNs and one tech. Night shift is rotating on call with a minimum of three team members, which must include at least one RN, while the other two can be RNs or techs. Patient ratios are 1:1 per team. Type of equipment used includes GE, Mac Lab, and Abbott Ensite XEMR Mac Lab. Typical procedures performed include left heart catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker and ICD implants, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, EP studies, and EP ablations including Amulets. Ideal candidates will possess attention to detail and remain calm under pressure. They should be a team player who is compassionate and patient-centered. Adaptability, flexibility, and strong communication skills are essential. Physical stamina is required. Candidates can float to help within the facility in areas where their skill set is applicable. They may also float to sister facilities within a reasonable radius. The dress code consists of ceil blue scrubs. There are rotating on-call responsibilities, requiring a minimum of two weekends per month.
