FINANCIAL MANAGER

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the Naval Special Warfare Command, Comptroller (N7) of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND. Responsibilities You will develop and implement budgetary policies and internal controls for the entire NSW community. You will establish budget controls, issue and approve funding, analyze program performance, forecast and coordinate planning, allocate civilian resources, implement financial policies, ensure operational controls, and liaise with audit agencies. You will analyze and forecast financial requirements, manage reprogramming actions, and balance a complex financial structure with multiple fund sources and appropriations. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring financial statements accurately reflect resource status and comply with regulations. You will develop custom reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into key financial indicators for leadership decision-making. You will attain, retain, and develop a high-performing financial workforce by setting clear expectations, providing technical guidance, and fostering professional growth. You will design, implement, and continuously refine financial dashboards and reporting tools to monitor budget execution, resource allocation, performance trends, and ensure compliance with SOCOM and Navy directives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serving as a senior financial authority directing complex budget formulation, execution, and audit readiness; justifying funding (such as Major Force Program accounts) to senior leadership; managing multi-million dollar accounting operations; and ensuring strict compliance with DOD and federal financial regulations.
