Job Title Psychologist Location 2840 Morris Ave., Union, NJ 07083 Department Psychology Pay Range $113,300 - $147,900 per year Job Overview The PSYPACT Telehealth Psychologist position at Children’s Specialized Hospital is a fully remote clinical role providing telehealth services to pediatric patients and families located in New Jersey. The psychologist will join a multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health team and provide evidence‑based psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of developmental, behavioral, emotional, medical, and neurodevelopmental presentations. Clinical opportunities may include collaboration with Autism and Feeding programs as needed. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluations and identify patient and family psychosocial needs. Provide evidence‑based individual, family, and group psychotherapy via telehealth as clinically indicated. Identify realistic treatment goals and deliver behavioral health interventions tailored to developmental and psychosocial needs. Conduct interventions related to behavior management, emotional regulation, social skills, coping with medical conditions, treatment adherence, pain management, and co‑occurring behavioral concerns. Conduct psychological assessments in cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and neuropsychological areas as appropriate. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and collaborative treatment planning. Provide consultation to interdisciplinary medical and rehabilitation teams as needed. Participate in program development, quality improvement, and clinical pathway development. Provide educational trainings and in‑services to staff and community partners. Maintain compliance with PSYPACT regulations, state licensure, and telehealth best practices. Qualifications – Required PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Psychology from an accredited program. Fully active and unrestricted Psychologist license in state of residency. PSYPACT Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) certification. Eligibility for New Jersey licensure or ability to meet regulatory requirements for telepsychology services to NJ patients via PSYPACT. 1 year of postdoctoral clinical experience. Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and/or adolescents. Experience providing evidence‑based psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Experience with cognitive behavioral interventions and behavioral modification strategies. Maintain a private, professional, HIPAA‑compliant workspace with reliable internet connectivity. Qualifications – Preferred American Heart Association BLS certification. Experience providing telehealth psychological services. Standardized psychological testing experience. Experience with children and adolescents with chronic medical conditions or pediatric health psychology populations. Experience within integrated behavioral health or interdisciplinary medical settings. Certifications and Licenses Required Fully active and unrestricted Psychologist license in state of residency. PSYPACT APIT certification. Scheduling Requirements Full time (40 hours per week). Primarily Remote. High demand hours 3–8 pm ET. Weekend hours. Essential Functions Provide a minimum number of weekly appointment hours during designated high‑demand scheduling hours 3 to 8 pm ET weekdays and/or weekends. Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, clinical responsibilities, and evolving programmatic needs. Maintain productivity and documentation standards consistent with departmental expectations. Provide supervision to trainees, fellows, interns, or staff as indicated. Disseminate clinical findings accurately and sensitively in accordance with policy and ethical standards.
