Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts available: 19:00 - 07:00, including alternating weekends.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in an acute clinical environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring fetal and maternal conditions, assisting in labor and delivery procedures, and ensuring the safe and effective care of patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vitals and fetal heart rates using advanced equipment.
• Assist with labor and delivery, including C-sections and routine procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide education and support to expectant mothers and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS, ACLS, NRP certification required.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Competency in EFM, SVE, and C-section circulation.
• Experience in a Level IV unit is preferred.
