CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse - Rotating Nights/Days

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30 / 07:00-19:30), every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering care as necessary.
• Perform bedside interventions including central line and arterial line insertions.
• Manage mechanical support devices, including IABP and Impella.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a CVICU setting.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications required; NIHSS and CCRN preferred.
• Strong experience with IABP, Impella, and other advanced cardiac support techniques.
