Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed emergency department, including a dedicated trauma bay, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG strips; manage patients on ventilators as needed
• Care for a diverse patient population including standard ED presentations, primary trauma cases, and psychiatric holds
• Collaborate with on-site hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy teams available 24/7
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules; available for additional shifts and self-scheduling through a 4-week rolling schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Minimum of two years of emergency department experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips and manage ventilated patients
• Completion of the Relias Dysrhythmia (Basic) exam prior to acceptance (pass/fail; two attempts allowed)
• Two supervisory references from the submitting modality required at time of submittal (one within 12 months, one within 3 years)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level II Trauma center experience is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience with psychiatric patient management in an emergency setting
