Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

RN Geriatric Psych role available. Average patient ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:10 at night. Weekend ratio is 1:5. Call may be required. Floating is unlikely but possible. BLS and De-escalation training are mandatory. Previous charge experience is preferred. One year of experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The facility is a Short-Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center. Total beds available are 1,567. Charting is done using Epic. Staffing and scheduling are structured with block scheduling. Daily patient census is up to 20. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more. Patient population primarily consists of geriatric patients. Familiarity with a variety of psychotropic medications is essential. Ability to manage patients with complex behavioral health issues is necessary. Applying candidates must have skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Experience in a locked unit setting and with geriatric patients is preferred.
