Job Title

Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

Boston, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | No weekends | No major holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including SPECT, CT, PET, MR, and optical fusion imaging
• Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology to execute imaging processes, techniques, and procedures
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine Information Systems (NMIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
• Adhere to safety standards established by the Radiology Department and applicable regulatory agencies
• Interact effectively with patients, address patient apprehensions, instruct students, and collaborate with fellow staff technologists

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, OR an Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program plus 2 years of experience
• Current registration in Nuclear Medicine — NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required
• At least one advanced certification required: NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), or ARRT(MR)
• Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging (SPECT, CT, PET, MR, or Optical Fusion Imaging)
• NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to plan and accomplish goals independently
