Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR) - Timmonsville, South Carolina

An experienced Imaging - IR Tech is needed for a contract opportunity supporting a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality interventional radiology services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.


Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT (R) certification and ARRT (VI) or (IR) preferred
• State licensure as required
• Minimum of one year of recent interventional radiology experience
• Strong knowledge of IR protocols, safety standards, and equipment operation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Operate and maintain IR imaging equipment, ensuring quality images for physician review
• Strictly adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection guidelines
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and post-procedure observations accurately
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Manage supplies and maintain a well-stocked and sterile environment in procedure rooms
• Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
