MRI Technologist - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift - 12 x 3

The MRI Technologist independently performs imaging procedures, demonstrating technical proficiency and a strong commitment to patient safety and care. This role requires independent judgment and ingenuity to acquire diagnostic data effectively.

• Practice and maintain MR safety in the department.
• Ensure clinical competency for all imaging exams and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media following departmental protocols.
• Document patient history and information in electronic records as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate fears and ensure procedural understanding.
• Collaborate with team members to expedite patient care efficiently.
• Ensure appropriate coding and documentation of exams in the Radiology Assessment system.

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completed an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or by date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
• 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Licenses: ARRT Certificate or ARMRIT, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73.
