The driver is responsible for operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) as well as packing, moving and safely transporting customers belongings while providing outstanding customer service. Experience in the fields of general labor, landscaping, construction or warehouse helpful! No prior driving or moving experience required. Bring a great attitude, and we’ll teach you everything needed to be successful! Responsibilities Act as the point of contact for new and existing customers; establish a rapport and build confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK services Make recommendations according to customer’s needs on moving services and supplies; may recommend alternate services and/or products based on cost, availability or customer specifications Calmly and professionally handle displeased customers and provide timely feedback to management regarding customer concerns Continually maintain thorough understanding of all company products, services, pricing and promotions in order to communicate the benefits and value of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and effectively oppose any customer objections Safely, responsibly, and professionally operate the CMV’s and monitors their functionality Responsible for ensuring vehicle is in safe operating order prior to dispatching for the day Safely move/pack/unpack customer’s belongings by utilizing all of the proper moving equipment and techniques and following the necessary prescribed policies Accurately calculate the charges for services and complete all move-related paperwork Conduct pre/post trip truck inspections and moving equipment inventory Ensure compliance with the policies laid out in the employee handbook and/or presented by management Drive company vehicles while holding a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and good driving record required; chauffeurs license preferred No driving experience required; we will train! 2 years of prior driving experience necessary per insurance requirements What We Offer Dynamic workplace based on our core values Internal career advancement opportunities Continued employee development & training Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) available after eligibility period Basic life insurance paid by company Voluntary life insurance available for employee, spouse and dependents LegalShield/IDShield This job posting is for a position at the individually owned and operated TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise located in Champaign, Illinois.
