A well-established CPA firm in Seattle is looking to add an Audit Senior to its growing Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants exposure to a variety of audit, review, and compilation engagements .
What You'll Do- Lead and perform financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion.
- Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review engagement workpapers and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Handle client communication and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements.
- Identify accounting and financial reporting issues and work with Managers and Partners to resolve them.
- Assist with engagement planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide coaching and feedback.
- Research accounting and auditing matters as needed.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Work closely with the firm's tax team when engagements overlap.
- Experience working on audit, review, and compilation engagements .
- Strong experience with financial statement preparation and disclosures .
- Solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS .
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CPA eligibility preferred .
- Strong communication and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with Managers and Partners.
We're particularly interested in someone coming from a small to midsize public accounting firm who has had broad exposure to different types of financial statement engagements.
This is not an audit-only position . Someone who has experience with reviews, compilations, financial statement preparation, and client accounting issues would be an especially strong fit.
