Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Ab Initio ETL development, data integration, data transformation, and batch processing , along with solid SQL and database skills.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable ETL solutions that process large volumes of data across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio ETL applications and data pipelines .
• Develop and optimize Ab Initio graphs, plans, components, and workflows.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading from multiple source systems.
• Develop complex ETL processes using Ab Initio Co> Operating System, GDE, and related components .
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes .
• Work with relational databases and large-volume datasets.
• Perform data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Analyze performance issues and optimize ETL jobs and Ab Initio graphs.
• Develop reusable components and follow established ETL development standards.
• Schedule and monitor production jobs and troubleshoot failures.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and production support.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation for ETL workflows and data processes.
• Support deployment activities across development, QA, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Ab Initio development .
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Ab Initio GDE
  • Ab Initio Co> Operating System
  • Ab Initio Components
  • Ab Initio Plans
  • Graph development
  • Parallel processing
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, or PostgreSQL .
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing .
• Experience with large-volume data processing and batch jobs.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping and data transformation.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software development best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ab Initio Metadata Hub / EME .
• Experience with Control-M, Autosys, or other scheduling tools .
• Knowledge of Python, Java, or Perl is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Exposure to modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Hadoop .
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
• Financial services, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise data experience is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Work Arrangement

Full-Time | Hybrid

The selected candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid environment, with a combination of onsite and remote work based on business requirements.
