Civil Litigator Opportunity

Construction defects. Premises liability. Bodily injury claims. Property damage. General liability.

We are seeking an experienced civil litigator to handle a diverse defense caseload representing contractors, businesses, insurers, property owners, and commercial clients.

The practice has a strong concentration in construction litigation and premises liability, but we are not limiting the search to attorneys who have spent their entire careers in those areas.

A strong insurance defense attorney who knows how to litigate, independently manage cases, and wants to broaden their practice should also take a serious look at this opportunity.

The Work

This is a substantive litigation position involving matters from inception through resolution or trial.

Attorneys will be responsible for developing case strategy, evaluating liability and exposure, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, attending court appearances and mediations, communicating directly with clients and insurance carriers, and preparing cases for trial.

The caseload includes:

• Construction defect and construction-related litigation
• Premises liability
• General liability
• Personal injury defense
• Bodily injury and property damage claims
• Other complex civil and insurance defense matters

Construction and premises liability experience are strongly preferred, but broader insurance defense experience is absolutely relevant.

We are looking for someone with several years of meaningful litigation experience who can take ownership of an active caseload and move matters forward without requiring constant oversight.

Candidates must have a JD and be licensed to practice in Illinois. Strong writing, analytical, deposition, and courtroom skills are important. Trial experience is a plus.
