Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound examinations including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part imaging.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures, clearly communicating each step with empathy and professionalism.
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to guarantee high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment efficiently, promptly reporting any malfunctions.
• Keep accurate documentation of procedures and manage patient records within the electronic medical record system.
• Update knowledge of ultrasound imaging advancements and best practices.

Educational Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.

Required Certifications

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
