Registered Nurse/Stepdown Cardiac

Cardiac PCU RN OpportunityPerm candidates of any other providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All Swedish facilities honor active compact license.This need does not require open heart post-op experience. Two years of experience is required. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Floating is required to similar units; travelers must be flexible to floating. Every other weekend is required.Experience: Must have surgical tele experience, vascular (groin) radial band management, IV skills, NIH 2-3 years telemetry experience; optional- VAD, TAVR experience.Certs Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSSEpic experience is a hard stop requirement.Cardiac PCU, myocardial infarction, rule out MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients, vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab with or without interventions, stroke patients with cardiac involvement; specialized structural heart support (VAD, TAVR, etc), experience with chest tubes and sternal precautions.Note: N:P ratio is 1:4 across the board (can be 5 at midnight).Breathing treatments, chest tube set-up/care, CPAP/BiPap, trache care, sternal precautions.Blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management LVAD, open heart 24-28 hours post-op tele interpretation - dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
