Lead Caregiver & Resident Driver

*Overview*
We are seeking a full-time Lead Caregiver & Resident Driver at South Winds Assisted Living, Located in Kenosha, WI. This person must be able to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team, and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve.

* Provide compassionate, hands-on care and supervision to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
* Supervise and support caregiving staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies.
* Monitor residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being, reporting any changes to management or healthcare providers.
* Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate documentation.
* Assist in coordinating activities, meals, and daily schedules to promote resident engagement and quality of life.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
* Train, mentor, and oversee caregiving staff to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
* Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with state regulations.
* Safely drive residents to doctors’ appointments, outings, and other approved destinations.

*Qualifications / Requirements*

* Previous caregiving and supervisory experience preferred.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage and mentor staff in a small team setting.
* Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting seniors.
* Valid driver’s license with a *clean driving record* (required).
* Ability to safely operate facility or personal vehicle for transporting residents.
* Must pass background check and meet all state compliance requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
