Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $18.42 - $25.05 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Answer the telephone according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendlily, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and process or stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approvals for changes or deviations from management, and clock in/out accordingly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles parked in a secure area. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
