Production Planner

Production PlannerThe Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals in Ithaca is recruiting for a Production Planner for a busy manufacturing company. The Production Planner will create and manage production schedules, coordinate materials and workflow and ensure timely product delivery. They will review and coordinate demand, resources, and inventory, working closely with all departments including sales and operations. The selected candidate will have strong communication skills to handle disruptions and improve processes. This is a direct hire opportunity with a long standing, growing, organization where you will have an opportunity to make a difference in their overall operations.Key Responsibilities:Production Scheduling - Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules, including daily/weekly plans and master schedulesMaterial and Inventory Management - Monitor inventory, identify shortages, coordinate with purchasing and ensure materials are available for productionWorkflow Coordination - Oversee the flow of work, coordinate tasks across departments, and manage the production cycle from order to shipmentCommunication and Collaboration - Act as liaison, communicating status updates, issues and changes to management, sales and operations teamsProcess Improvement - Analyze data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve productivity and efficiencyAssist with ERP implementation from the production planning sideRun reports, analyze data, communicate in meetings, and work as a team with others in departmentEssential Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferredBackground in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain managementProficiency with ERP systems, scheduling software, and data analysisStrong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication (written & verbal) skillsProfessional certifications (like APICS CPIM) are a plus
