Make a meaningful impact supporting students and families as a School Social Worker in a contract position near Eden Prairie, MN. Work within an educational environment providing valuable expertise and compassionate guidance to help students overcome barriers to academic and personal success.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a School Social Worker in Minnesota
- Experience working within school settings supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Strong collaborative skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized support plans
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion within educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect services to students in need of social, emotional, and behavioral support
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor student intervention plans
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
- Support students in crisis or those struggling with attendance, behavioral concerns, or family challenges
- Conduct assessments and maintain required records, progress notes, and documentation
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions, as appropriate
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintain compliance with relevant regulations
- Engage in prevention programs and support a positive school climate
