Resident Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Resident Care Assistant to join our team. The Resident Care Assistant provides assistance with activities of daily living while promoting the dignity, independence, comfort, and well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate is caring, patient, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and quality care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing Dressing Grooming Toileting Ambulation and transfers Assist residents with meals, hydration, and dining services as needed. Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff. Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Assist with resident activities and encourage participation in social programs. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures. Accurately document care provided according to community policies. Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Work collaboratively with nursing staff, department leaders, residents, and families. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be reliable, compassionate, and resident-centered. Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers. Must successfully complete all required training and background checks. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Ability to push, pull, and transfer residents safely using proper techniques.
