Park Maintenance Worker

This position focuses on maintaining park facilities, structures, and grounds to keep the area safe and welcoming for visitors. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:

• Equipment Operation: Operate park vehicles and equipment to support daily maintenance tasks
• Building Care: Make simple repairs, paint structures, and assist with basic construction needs
• Ground Maintenance: Clean restrooms and carry out various housekeeping duties
• Grounds Upkeep: Maintain lawns, remove debris, and prepare sites for projects
• Visitor Support: Provide helpful information to park visitors in a friendly manner
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment properly

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work shifts and days vary, will work 5 days and 37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays if needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
