Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Job Title Electrical Engineer II Location Lenexa, KS Travel 5-10% Work Schedule This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday‑Friday. Overtime may be required. Key Responsibilities Provides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers. Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications. Prepares and studies technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements. Plans layout of electrical construction projects. Conducts field surveys and studies data to identify and correct power system problems. Confers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction projects. Provides guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications. Compiles data and writes reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects. Operates computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Evaluates electrical products and systems by designing testing methods. Tests finished products and system capabilities. Keeps necessary equipment operational. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering; or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology with 6 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience. 2 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience; or associate degree with 6 years experience. Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD/Revit knowledge required. Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Strong problem‑solving, technical, math and science skills. Strong written and verbal communication.
