This correctional facility provides primary care services to an adult patient population in a secure clinical environment less than one hour from Charlottesville, Virginia. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Clinicians are expected to deliver professional and accurate care within the framework of correctional healthcare.

The area surrounding Charlottesville, Virginia offers a range of attractions, including Monticello, Carter Mountain Orchard, and the Historic Downtown Mall. Outdoor destinations such as Shenandoah National Park are accessible within approximately 30 miles to the west via Skyline Drive. The physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing approximately 18-20 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. No call coverage is required for this position.
